| The Story of Eclextion Lofts |
||
| Eclextion Lofts, the second downtown housing development from Bill Shelby and Jack Hoopes, located at 221 N. Front Street, was announced by Mayor Coleman in June during City Hop 2004. The Eclextion Lofts name is
based on the word "eclectic" which the dictionary defines
as: We selected this name because it originates from the idea of bringing together an eclectic mix of the community including young professionals, empty nesters and everyone in between. It also refers to the preservation of the historic building coupled with new materials, resulting in a unique living space. This may help explain the pronunciation of Eclextion Lofts: "e-klek-shun" based on the word "eclectic". Bill Shelby and Jack Hoopes have worked together for over 20 years in many different projects. Bill, President of Spectrum Properties, Inc. has a diverse background with a solid understanding of multiple disciplines in real estate, which has resulted in many successful developments, creative deal structures, innovative project turnaround plans, and successful transactions. Jack, President of Amlin Development , has been focused on creative financing structures, providing him the tools to lead various types of real estate businesses to high levels of success. Bill and Jack are committed to developing quality projects, being closely involved in all phases of the projects, and are happy to be apart of the revitalization of downtown Columbus.
